April 10th

First Period:
Today we will be looking at another famous illuminated manuscript and analyzing the ornate letters/images. We will continue finishing our ornate letters and begin folding and gluing to form the front and back of the books.

Fourth Period:
Today we will be looking at Faith Ringgold's story quilts. Although these are not true illuminated manuscripts, we begin to see the relationship between the two. Also, Ringgolds work is an example of something you could do in the center of your book; paint in the center and write the story around it.
